I help entrepreneurs and startups with their greatest challenge - the struggle to generate sales. Most founders are great idea-generators and technical experts, but not great salespeople. Since 2005, I have worked with hundreds of startups, helping them move from idea to execution to revenue to profit through practical, test-driven sales coaching.
To share my 20 years of experience and provide practical advice to startup founders on how to develop a customized sales model and secure those first key customers. I do this through free Pick My Brain calls and follow-up advising services.
I help entrepreneurs and startup founders at two different stages of their company lifecycle:
> Pre-Revenue: you need to get "sales-ready" and secure your first set of key customers;
> Ready to scale: you and your key sales personnel are generating revenue, and you now need to put the right people and processes in place to scale your sales.
It all starts with a conversation. I like getting a good overall understanding of the entrepreneurs' goals and current situation, and what they feel are the biggest roadblocks. That will help gauge whether I'm the right person to help. It also gives us a chance to see if we are a good fit to work together.
If it moves to the next step, I find entrepreneurs work best when we set key milestones for them to work towards, and a clear plan to get there. We are accountable to each other to drive this venture forward.
Sales is a results-oriented business. I am a results-oriented person. My experience comes from over 20 years of developing, testing, and executing on lead generation and sales programs for my clients. I have seen what works, and what doesn't. My passion is helping entrepreneurs successfully bring their solution to the world by focusing on the right markets, with the right offering, and the right sales process.
I launched Canada Start Up in 2005 to help entrepreneurs navigate through the fog of the first year, and focus on practical sales activities to acquire customers quickly and profitably. Since then, I have worked with hundreds of startups, helping companies move from strategy to execution through practical, test-driven programs and coaching.
I have been a featured facilitator and business mentor with the BCIT Venture Program, SFU Innovation Lab, and the Langara Entrepreneurial Training program, and have been the keynote speaker for several Entrepreneurial organizations including the MIT Venture forum in Seattle.
I am also a successful business owner and entrepreneur, operating SalesXperts since 1997. My clients have ranged from large organizations such as Oracle, Microsoft, and Bell, to over 200 small to medium-sized businesses at all stages of their business lifecycle.
