When you think about a coach, the image in your head probably isn't an awkward, super-nerd who spends time role-playing or ghost hunting on her favorite video game. That—and a whole lot more—is about to change! I think work-life balance is bullshit, but I do believe that harmony can (and needs to) be achieved. To that end, I also believe that self-care is bullshit. "Self-care" is a horrible and oppressive phrase. Amelia and Emily Nagoski wrote an amazing book on burnout and said so perfectly that the cure to burnout is not self-care, it is CARE. This is absolutely true, we cannot (and should never have to) move through this world alone. We are intersectional beings with a variety of wants, needs, desires, and skills and we need to work together to make sure those are acknowledged and honored. And that is why I do what I do! I am an advocate for nerdy, neurodivergent, and queer folks and dedicated to supporting us as we show up in our spaces, consensually and within our integrity, to work and play in ways that work for us while also supporting our communities. When not helping clients slay their proverbial dragons, you'll find me chatting with other autistic folks,—yeah, discovered that after 40!—researching the sensory nervous system and the stress response cycle, or playing D&D, Deadlands, or Amber with my family and friends.
I love to look at the different areas of your life and identify the ones where you feel powerful and excited to build bridges to help in the areas where there are struggles. Sometimes that means that we work with your favorite RPG characters, sometimes it is about addressing sensory needs, and sometimes it is something that neither of us even considered that shows up and my brain says THIS! so we explore that avenue. With me, there is no script and I use my unique ability to see patterns, to speak the truth, and to be compassionate while calling bullshit so that you get EXACTLY what you really need to move toward your wants and desires.
I am a LARPer! Ask me about it 🐙
